Large layered watercolour artwork.

It been a long time between artworks... But this one has been a work in  progress for a long time. I finally finished it and sent it to it's new owner... The top work is a collage of images based on a friend's farm house in Alsace, in France. It is 70 x 50cm, done on paper and is painted in watercolour.
Here it is with the top layer... a cut out, with the wooden structure loosely based on the wooden beams around the house. It is painted in watercolour and acrylic. It is raised slightly, to give it some depth. Below are some close ups.
Views of the orchard.
More of the orchard in spring.
Names of the original owners and the date it was built, in 1843. Part of the hand painted sculpture of a cow.
The orchard in the snow.
These two have the views of the inner courtyard.

oz sketches

While in Oz I nearly filled up a sketch book. Here is a selection from Sydney to Kings Beach QLD, to real animals to Aboriginal figures - from TV to the galleries.
Bondi Beach, black ink on wet paper.
Someone elses sketch in my book?

Poppies

I did this painting for my Aunty, Acrylic on Canvas.

Holiday Artworks.

This year for our summer holiday, we went to Australia. Once again the ancient images were inspiration to my artworks. Specifically the figures from Aboriginal engravings and cave paintings. The rich bird life was also inspiring, with their rich colours, personalities and perseverance.
